She is the new breed, emerging from the always-on, yet disconnected reality we are all creating.

Sally has had it with the world. Her priorities have shifted. The importance of facts has dwindled. She tells herself what she wants to hear, oblivious to the fact that she is not the one saying it.

She thinks her thick, soggy skin will protect her from the heat of a destabilizing planet, but Sally will feel the flames as she becomes one of many who unknowingly drag down the entire human race… Karen is her best friend and neighbor.
